Ethiopia is known as the birthplace of coffee, and its grading system reflects centuries of coffee culture. At Enter Africa, we work closely with certified Q-graders and experts to evaluate each lot by bean size, defect count, moisture level, and cup quality.

Our coffees are classified from Grade 1 (the highest quality) to Grade 5, with Grade 1 and Grade 2 beans primarily exported. These beans undergo meticulous hand sorting, wet or dry processing, and cupping to meet international standards.

Grading also includes sensory analysis — flavor, aroma, acidity, and body — helping us match coffee profiles to diverse market preferences. This system ensures buyers receive consistent, traceable, and exceptional quality in every shipment.
